Week 1A: My Blog Theme

The unique ability to create a blog allows for creativity to shine in the brightest light. in creating my blog I wanted to find something that not only caught my eye but others as well while simultaneously keep things sweet and simple. After trying a couple of different options, I decided to keep a basic theme focused on solid colors that complimented one another. I found that while using blogger, there was quite a bit of room to allow me to make changes and customize my blog in the manner that best fit me including tools such as changing the background whether it be to a picture, color backdrop, or even an offered template of my picking. Blogger also allowed to make decisions such as my font, color of font, and size of font. All of these aspects are important in determining how the blog will best attract the readers attention. 

As I initially began browsing through my options for a theme, I automatically went to customize. I searched through the many background options that were offered and found a couple that interested me. Surfing through the the tabs was easy to navigate being that they were sorted through the many different categories of interest. My immediate attention went to "patterns" and the scenery. I am a personal fan of the aesthetic vibe and wanted to find something that would fulfill this look. After testing many of the options that there were, I was able to find a simple color theme that I enjoyed. I used different shades of pink that would compliment each other. 

A key component in designing something and making it original is paying attention to then details. One of the major details I focused on in creating my blog spage was the font and the size of the font. Having the correct placement and fonts can make your page either attractive to the readers eye engaging them to want to read more, or disengaging causing readers to shy away from your blog. I think that this component is valuable to me in my eyes because I pay close attention to these things in my every day life. My ultimate goal was remain simple and ensure that my theme wasn't too busy and distracting to the readers.

    Hello Alexis. I like how you added the Halloween colors to your theme. Halloween is around the corner so perfect timing. The pink goes good with the theme as well. I also liked how you describe the attention to detail. Attention to detail is very important and it does say a lot about you. I tell you this from experience. I detail cars on the weekends and attention to detail is very important when it comes down to that job. Keep it up.

Week 14: Social Media Tools

Social Media Management  There are many tools that are useful when trying to maintain multiple different social media platforms. With the many different social media platforms, it can be important to ensure that each ground is covered to reach each person. I think that there are several different social media softwares that will allow one to be the most successful in their own perspective.  "Hootsuite" This system is designed to make using social media easier in many dimensions. Week 4A: Defining Target Markets

 Subway v. Hungry Bear Deli Subway  Subway has been a popular sandwich chain for as long as I can remember. I was actually as major consumer of the sandwiches growing up and enjoyed eating their food frequently. Subway has major marketing attempts such as using commercials and ads in order to promote their company. Recently, subway has also reached out to professional athletes as a source of promotion in order to amplify their business. For awhile, Subway went through a spell in which their food was questioned and determined as low quality compared to other sandwich shops in the food industry.
