Week 9 Part B: Using Categories

Using Categories 

I think that in order for my blog to be most effective, I will need to categorize my content based on what information is being provided. Since I have established my business to promote press on nails my categories could include informational tutorials, new and upcoming ideas, and information regarding the nail business in general. I think that by organizing my blogs into categories it will be easier for me to establish an understanding with my audience regarding what they are looking for. If I were to post within the informational tutorials tab, I would provided information regarding how to apply nails, tips and tricks that I have discovered, and what should be done when applying and maintaining the nails. In the category regarding the new and upcoming ideas that are being established, this portion of my blog will be designed to promote any new ideas or nail designs that I have discovered in order to keep my consumers engaged in the new and improved designs that are discovered. I think that the information category will provide plenty of information regarding the nail business in general and new information regarding this. 


I have scheduled my post to be posted for today and tomorrow to promote both halloween and the fall season that is on the horizon. Both of these post will be posted on instagram and Facebook.

Week 9 Part A: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, and Webinars

Personal Touch in Blogs  Each post should be designed to reach a certain goal. Some post are designed to provide information, entertain, or even promote. It is important for one to ay attention to the purpose of their post and how they would like to deliver their message in the most effective way possible. I think that adding a personal touch can be done to every post if you apply it in subtle ways. There are many details that go into making posts and can be altered based on your own opinion of what should be present within the post. I think that sharing facts doesn't always need to be clean cut and can have some sort of personality. I think that making the post too unserious can distract the viewers and make them not fully trust in the information that is being provided to them. Week 8 Part B: Your Hashtag Use

 In this weeks Facebook and Instagram posts, I decided to promote the Halloween holiday and promote a flash sale that will be occurring this week. I decided to schedule my posts so that they are spread out from one another and will have a presence each and every day of the week. I also incorporated a lot of the hashtags that dealt with the holiday while still incorporating hashtags that relate to the press on nail company. I feel like using both of these has the ability to reach different audiences that may just be looking for press ons or those who are in the spirit of having their halloween festive attire. I planned my post around the time that it seems my accounts get the most attention with is usually in the night time. So my post will be spread out this week around the 8pm to 9pm hours in order to gan the most recognition. This exercise made me focus even more on posting at the appropriate times and making the right posts.
