Week 14: Social Media Tools

Social Media Management  There are many tools that are useful when trying to maintain multiple different social media platforms. With the many different social media platforms, it can be important to ensure that each ground is covered to reach each person. I think that there are several different social media softwares that will allow one to be the most successful in their own perspective.  "Hootsuite" This system is designed to make using social media easier in many dimensions. This social media organizer has features such as scheduling when to publish, measure your performance, post directly from the app, build fans, track trends, etc. This system does offer a 30 day trial in which you can determine if you would like to move forward with their services starting at $49 a month.  "Loomly" This system also for some of the similar features as mentioned in regards to the "Hootsuite" application. Loomly will allow you to schedule, collaborate, and become inspi...

Week 13 Part A- Online Advertising - Analysis of the Market Place

Social Media Advertising  In my experience with social media advertisements, they typically are aiming to promote something specific. The advertisements usually place an emphasis on things related to our interest or referenced from our search history due to the way our apps intertwine with another. This often occurs when we have a conversation with someone around us and then scroll through our feed on instagram and see a promotional ad for exactly what we were talking about. Most of believe that this is the government listening to us but this is the best way for businesses to make their most effective marketing promotion.  When promotional ads are presented they typically do take advantage of the imagery, making it appealing to the eye and attracting consumers to their products. I think that this is one of the most important factors when promoting on social media platforms due to the fact that consumers are typically looking for things that catch their eye. I think anoth...

Week 12A: Using Business Specific Online Tools

In researching the available tools this week, I found that there are various amounts of sources in which one has the ability to promote their business. I believe that in our current times, using online collaboration tools has become increasingly popular amongst the business world as so many people are participating remotely. An example of this could be through Microsoft Teams in which there are tools provided in the software that allow you to communicate and take the proper steps in order to enhance the project at hand. For social networking, I looked into what Hivebrite had to offer as it allowed for people to share their knowledge, collaborate, get feedback, and enhance opportunities. With a well organized platform like this, business owners and professionals will be able to efficiently make the neccessary adaptions to successfully  grow their business and brand.  I think that google offers so many tools that people tend to miss out on simply because they did not know that t...

Week 9 Part B: Using Categories

Using Categories  I think that in order for my blog to be most effective, I will need to categorize my content based on what information is being provided. Since I have established my business to promote press on nails my categories could include informational tutorials, new and upcoming ideas, and information regarding the nail business in general. I think that by organizing my blogs into categories it will be easier for me to establish an understanding with my audience regarding what they are looking for. If I were to post within the informational tutorials tab, I would provided information regarding how to apply nails, tips and tricks that I have discovered, and what should be done when applying and maintaining the nails. In the category regarding the new and upcoming ideas that are being established, this portion of my blog will be designed to promote any new ideas or nail designs that I have discovered in order to keep my consumers engaged in the new and improved designs that ...

Week 9 Part A: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, and Webinars

Personal Touch in Blogs  Each post should be designed to reach a certain goal. Some post are designed to provide information, entertain, or even promote. It is important for one to ay attention to the purpose of their post and how they would like to deliver their message in the most effective way possible. I think that adding a personal touch can be done to every post if you apply it in subtle ways. There are many details that go into making posts and can be altered based on your own opinion of what should be present within the post. I think that sharing facts doesn't always need to be clean cut and can have some sort of personality. I think that making the post too unserious can distract the viewers and make them not fully trust in the information that is being provided to them. The subtle details can be enough to entertain your post. I think that engaging with the audience is an important aspect because you need to build a connection with the people who will be consuming your pro...

Week 8 Part B: Your Hashtag Use

In this weeks Facebook and Instagram posts, I decided to promote the Halloween holiday and promote a flash sale that will be occurring this week. I decided to schedule my posts so that they are spread out from one another and will have a presence each and every day of the week. I also incorporated a lot of the hashtags that dealt with the holiday while still incorporating hashtags that relate to the press on nail company. I feel like using both of these has the ability to reach different audiences that may just be looking for press ons or those who are in the spirit of having their halloween festive attire. I planned my post around the time that it seems my accounts get the most attention with is usually in the night time. So my post will be spread out this week around the 8pm to 9pm hours in order to gan the most recognition. This exercise made me focus even more on posting at the appropriate times and making the right posts.

Week 8 Part A: How to Expand Your Reach on Instagram by Using Hashtags

Hashtags in Various Accounts   @pressedbycharlotte_ The aesthetic of this account was interesting to me because I enjoyed how simple and consistent each post was. Sometimes it is nice to see a clean feed. Most of the hashtags that are utilize on this account pertain to the nail business in general and are repeated in many different posts. They also utilized the hashtags at the end of the caption in which their were many of them. This account has a wide range of audience as there is a total of 130,000 followers and they range around 3,000 to 8,000 likes on their posts.  @luxxinails This page is based around selling press on nails, as like my page as well. This business utilizes features such as the story highlights, a website in the bio, and a variety of other tools that instagram has to offer. Although this account does not place a heavy emphasis on the use of hashtags in every post, there are some that are full of hashtags in which they are able to reach multiple outlets. Mos...

Week 7 Part B: How Other Businesses Use Instagram

My Business v. Their Business  In looking at my classmates instagrams I was able to see many similarities and differences throughout their feed and how they promote their products. I decided to look at @purpletsunamiclothing and @california_rad_patches in order to find comparisons and differences. An interesting technique that I noticed was used on the patches page was that he utilized a an outside source in order to promote his brand. I thought that this was cool being that TikTok is such a popular platform today and often engages many different types of audiences. An aspect of the Purple Tsunami Clothing brand that I would take into account is the minimalist nature of the page. I think that things remain simple and that it is not overbearing to understand.  In looking at the different accounts in regards to selling products and offering a service. I think that there are many similarities and many differences as well. In viewing many different pages it was clear to determine ...

Week 6 Part B: Creating and Scheduling FaceBook Posts

I have decided to schedule my posts for the following dates: - Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 4pm - Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 10am  - Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 12pm    I chose to make couple of different posts to engage my customers. In the first post I gave out some information regarding the different nail shapes that were offered through my business. I also decided to make a post in which I could engage the consumers by way of having them email my business in order to sign up for promotional deals and a first time discount. This engages customers by adding incentives. I also used hashtags in hopes of reaching a broader audience. In my third post I decided to promote a virtual course in creating press on nails in order to gain customer engagement. This also required them to use direct message to reach out to me for a more established connection.

Week 6A: Engaging Your Customer: Facebook Strategies

In creating my own personal business page, I felt that it was important to find something similar to my own business so that I can see what pages had similar features and if they were successful in utilizing these features. I was able to find a couple of different pages that had different goals and purposes for being created. I found the following business pages to be useful in my search: "Nail Design"   Nail Design had a grabbing profile picture that caught my attention and made me want to see what was on their page. They are pretty popular on Facebook as they have 655,000 followers on their page. Most of their posts are videos of different types of nail designs for inspiration.  "Happiness Nails & Spa" I liked this page due to the fact that it is a local and well known nail salon nearby. I feel like although my business is primarily online and not in a salon, I believe that they have very useful tools that they incorporate on their page. They have 7,900 follow...

Week 5B: Learning about Facebook Data Collecting

Facebook Tools:      Facebook offers many tools in which users have the ability to identify there progress and interactions with the community. Many of these features offer insight as to just how much interest they are getting so that business owners are aware if their promotion tactics are beneficial. Maintaining  a proper appearance and likeness on social media can be crucial to ones business success and vital to determining which they of consumers they will encounter.      An important that is used by face book includes "post reach" in which this allows for the business owners are able to get their post to different audiences within their feed. Many times it is difficult to promote your page unless you ask someone to give you a shout out so being able to utilize post reach will allow your post to reach a consumer through their every day scroll on their feed. It is important to make your post engaging because I myself, ...

My Target Audience About "A Little Press & No Stress" My business, A Little Press & No Stress" is designed to provide women with press on nails that easy, time efficient, and stylish for there every day needs. Many people do not have time to go to the nail salon and/or do not want to spend so much money on getting a new set of nails. With my brand, women will be able to get there nails delivered to them in a timely manner at a great price and quality. I wanted to start this business because I myself struggle sometimes to make it to the nail salon because I have so many things going on in my life. Sometimes I find myself at CVS looking for press ons that will fulfill my wants and needs. It's hard to find elaborate design in different shapes and lengths when you are looking at the drug store so I feel that my brand will be easy to access and manageable to buy in bulk if consumers wanted to do so. Target Consumer  The target consumer for my press on nails can ra...

Week 4A: Defining Target Markets

Subway v. Hungry Bear Deli Subway  Subway has been a popular sandwich chain for as long as I can remember. I was actually as major consumer of the sandwiches growing up and enjoyed eating their food frequently. Subway has major marketing attempts such as using commercials and ads in order to promote their company. Recently, subway has also reached out to professional athletes as a source of promotion in order to amplify their business. For awhile, Subway went through a spell in which their food was questioned and determined as low quality compared to other sandwich shops in the food industry. They have made efforts to revamp their brand and bring a new message to the foods that they are serving.      Visiting the Subway website immediately brings a breath of fresh air if you are a previous consumer of theirs. There are promotions that stroll across the screen as soon as you get to the site in attempts to get the consumer engaged in what they are offering. ...

Week 3B: Developing a Brand

My Brand Development My plan is to work on developing a women’s sportswear line as my personal brand. Fashion has always been a passion of mine since I was little alongside playing sports. Growing up as the only girl with two brothers and my dad, I found happiness in the middle of being a girly girl and a tom-boy. I learned most of my fashion from my dad as we would always go shopping and try to put together outfits based on how we were feeling that day. One of my favorite parts about going shopping with my dad was that we would place a limit on how much we could spend to create an outfit that day. I enjoyed the challenge of needing to find something that looked good together but was within the budget. Ever since we made this a habit, I am always looking to shop on a bargain and reminding myself that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to find something you love. This is ultimately what my brand represents; be comfortable with your comfort. There is no need to try to put yourself in...

Week 3A: Aesthetics, Design, and Branding

Aesthetics, Design, and Branding  San Diego’s Craig List https://sandiego.craigslist.org/ A website should be enticing to its visitor upon immediate arrival. The first impression is a very significant feeling that could either make or break you. For a business, this first impression could leave some interested or uninterested in the products being sold. When visiting San Diego’s Craigslist website, I immediately found the website to be dull and unwelcoming. The website seemed to lack design factors such as colors, photos, a variety of fonts, and other appealing features. The website presents itself as almost overwhelming due to the fact that the first thing you see is a long  list of categories. The lack of design from Craig’s list could be the least of their worries due to the fact that they are not necessarily branding anything of their own rather they are a platform for other people to brand themselves and sell their own property thus making it not a priority to necessarily...

Week 2A: Communication Between Consumer and Business

Consumer v. Business       There are many brands that are popular amongst consumer whether they are for the good or the bad. The ability to test out certain products that are beneficial to ourselves is the main purpose regarding the interaction between consumers and businesses. Most businesses, if not all, give consumers the opportunity to evaluate their products and write a review in regards to the positive and negative factors that are involved with the product. Often times the businesses offer the ability to rate their businesses on a one to five level star with one being the least pleased and five stars being highly pleased. In many cases, consumers will rely on this form of a review because of the quick and easy while still giving businesses some sort of feedback.      A popular company that I chose to research was Nike. Almost everywhere you look you will see a nike swoosh somewhe...

Week 1B: Social Media Use Today

There are many different social media outlets that are utilized for different purposes to ultimately reach a goal. The basic idea associated with social media deals with the idea that a website or application is used to allow users to participate in sharing content in order to network. Social media has the ability to develop various primary concept such as making the purpose posting photos or posting thoughts/feelings. An important aspect of social media is the ability to have open communication resources allowing for comments and reactions to one another post. Personally, I believe that are many pros and cons that are associated with social media and it is hard to determine whether it is truly a negative component  of society or if it can ultimately beneficial to society. I think that social media is defined by its users and the way that the users utilize the many different apps.       Social media has the ability to gain a negative reputati...
